A piece that is a product of recent reading that both informed and stretched my understanding of the world/cosmos and how some people perceive it. If you don't understand any of this, that's OK... it then reflects how I felt about some of that other reading. This is especially true re some reading by and on those who live with various forms of psychosis, illustrating to me both the difficulty of treatment and raising questions as to whether what we call treatment is simply getting their perception of the world to conform more to the "norm" and hence modifying their behaviour, but at radical cost to who they are... Difficult stuff perhaps made trite here, but that is not the intention... (ps the lack of punctuation is deliberate)
Poets prophets
physicists and psychotics
Do not see the world
as most others see it
But as it is or
as it might be
Or was before
There was an is
Before and beyond
The universe
Uncomfortably
incomprehensible
to most
Beyond the visible
Into the infra-real
And ultra-vibrant
And further still
Between the arbitrary
seven-fold spectrum
Into realms not limited
By commonly accepted laws
Into the infra-real
And ultra-vibrant
And further still
Between the arbitrary
seven-fold spectrum
Into realms not limited
By commonly accepted laws
Or norms
or grammar
But devoid of form and time
Eternity itself
Permeating the temporary
And temporal
But devoid of form and time
Eternity itself
Permeating the temporary
And temporal
